Childbearing

After three years running an online store specializing in supplies for home & hospital birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding & all natural baby care, family commitments and a new family business forced me to sit down and prioritize. I couldn’t keep up with everything I had on my plate. I sold the business and decided to focus on family and on writing, rather than on sales.

This is my space to reflect on the childbearing experience in our culture, specifically in Canada, but also in America…and how our Canadian experience is affected by our neighbours to the south. And what all does the childbearing experience encompass? For me, it refers to the childbearing years. Pregnancy, Birth, Breastfeeding, Parenting and all the surrounding issues.

I’ve brought over some of the articles from my former space and I hope to continue offering insights, news and reflection with renewed efforts here in the Childbearing section of BluebirdMama.com.

This is a place to inspire people to look at their options. I had a life changing experience that started with midwifery care. I am amazed and awed by all that birth can be. I want to spread the fire and the passion because surely the way we are born and the way we die reflect the way we live.
